Snack/Lunch

Snack

A healthy mid-morning snack, provided by the kitchen staff, may be purchased by Key Stage 2 pupils each morning at break time.

At Early Years and Key Stage 1, the children are provided with fruit at snack time, to promote healthy eating. Therefore, no snack needs to be brought in for these children. Milk or water is also provided for all Early Years children.

Lunch

School meals are the best choice for your child’s health, education and well-being. They are nutritious and tasty, saving you time and money and giving you the confidence that your child is eating and drinking the right things. Better for your child and better for you. Each school meal is designed to meet standards which make sure your child is getting a healthy, balanced mix of food and drink.

Eating the right balance of healthy, tasty food helps children to learn and develop.

We serve up great lunches. Cheshire East Catering Service are passionate about healthy eating and providing value for money. All meals are nutritionally balanced and freshly made in the school kitchen by profressionally qualified staff. All meat is provided by a local butcher, Steve Brookes, and all fruit and vegetables is locally sourced.

Each day there are three food choices, meat, vegetarian and sandwich. The menu rotates every four weeks.

Special medical dietary needs can be dealt with, e.g. peanut allergy and diabetes.

Meals can be paid:

  • £2.50 on the day that the meal is to be taken – this can be paid using the Arbor App.
  • £12.50 weekly in advance – this can be paid using the Arbor App.

Thanks to the Government funding, all children in Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 benefit from all the good things that school meals offer free of charge.

When a child moves up to Year 3, they can still enjoy the benefits of healthy school meals for just £2.30 per meal. This offers tremendous value for money.
