Children’s Council

At Monks Coppenhall Academy, the children play a key role in helping to improve Monks Coppenhall. We run a school council which has been established by democratically electing children form each class from Year 2 to Year 6. We have one representative from each class.

The year group members are:

Harley –  Year 6

My name is Harlee. All the teachers at Monks Coppenhall Academy are all nice and kind. My favourite subject is PE. My hobbies are Fishing playing Football and Swimming. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to help others and the Academy.

Emily – Year 6

My name is Emily. The teachers at Monks Coppenhall Academy care and ensure everyone is safe. I love that there is always something exciting happening! My favourite subject is Art as I can express myself. My hobbies are cooking and Art. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to make the school better for everyone.

Oliver – Year 6

My name is Oliver. My favourite subjects are Computing, Maths and English. My hobbies include gaming, boating and reading. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to be a role model to other students and help around the Academy.

Mea – Year 5

My name is Mea. I really like the Fitness Zone at the Academy. My favourite subjects are PE and English. My hobbies are Gymnastics and Athletics. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to help others and the Academy whilst making my class happy.

Willow – Year 5

My name is Willow. I love Monks Coppenhall Academy and all of the lessons. My favourite subjects are Maths, English and Science. I love learning to play the flute and singing in Choir. I want to help the Academy to achieve in being better than it already is.

Mylea – Year 4

My name is Miley-Mae. The teachers at Monks Coppenhall Academy are all really kind. My favourite subjects are Maths, English and PE. My hobbies are going for walks and colouring. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I like helping people.

Amelia – Year 4

My name is Amelia. I like that the school has lots of books to read. My favourite subjects are Maths, English and Science. My hobbies are Gymnastics and Netball. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council to help people and to make the school even better.

Iylah – Year 4

My name is Iylah. I like that everyone is very kind to me and that the school is tidy. My favourite subjects is Art because I like painting. My hobbies are looking for crystals and singing. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because it is important to me and my family will be proud.

Olivia – Year 3

My name is Olivia. All the teachers and children at Monks Coppenhall Academy are nice and kind. My favourite subjects are Maths and English. My hobbies are writing and playing out. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I love the school.

Andrew – Year 3

My name is Andrew. I really like the Academy, it’s a fun place to learn and the playground is great. My favourite subject is Maths. My hobbies are going golf with my Dad and I enjoy craft club. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to help the school and the children.

Elliah-Rose – Year 3

My name is Elleiah-Rose. All the teachers at Monks Coppenhall Academy are all nice and kind, I love the lessons. My favourite subject is PE. My hobby is Gymnastics. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to help others.

Skyla – Year 2

My name is Skyla. All the teachers at Monks Coppenhall Academy are all nice and kind. My favourite subjects is Maths. My hobby is playing Football. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to help others.

Sonny – Year 2

My name is Sonny. I really like the Academy, it’s a fun place to learn. My favourite subject is English. My hobbies are making Lego animation, playing with Lego and playing games. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because I want to help keep the school a safe and happy place. It will make me proud.

Lucy – Year 2

My name is Lucy. I like Monks Coppenhall Academy because the teachers are nice. My favourite subject is Art, I love Art and drawing. My hobbies are drawing and colouring. I wanted to be in the Children’s Council because it’s nice to help.
