The children have enjoyed celebrating National Science Week this week exploring the theme of Growing. The children have been taking part in many exciting science activities throughout the week.
One of the activities has involved each child planting a sunflower seed which they will be taking home as part of a competition to see who can grow the best sunflower. Prizes will be awarded for the tallest and the largest flower head. The competition will run until the penultimate week of the school year.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Rotary Club who organised a superb visit from some special animal guests.
The Year 1 children had the first hand experience of meeting a bird of prey, an owl and snake.
Early Years, Year 3 and 4 have seen a display by Xplore, from Wrexham. Some Year 4s have dissected owl pellets and Some Year 5s have learnt how we hear. All these visitors have been provided by the Rotary Club.
Lots of Year Groups have also enjoyed Live Lessons on Life Cycles, Mini Beasts and Global Warming.
